Illustrating the law

I frequently do illustrations for a newsletter send out by a big attorney office. I illustrate a specific section of the law or an event/ case. Often the theme has to do with company law: how to hire people, fire people, avoid being accused of discrimination, dealing correctly with pregnant employes, employes with health problems, copyright law, laws about moving stocks over the border, tax laws....... and a bunch of other issues.

Elephants

An elephant is such a wonderful metaphor.
For a system: an Elephant is so big, that it can be difficult understand and grasp the whole picture and get a common understanding.
For teaching methods: some years back, it was believer that the best way to learn, was to write tons of notes and study hard at home. Repeating what you have been taught over and over = memory = elephant.
Now there is an understanding that students have different learning profiles: Some students learn faster with the distraction from music, some requires solitude and silence and others needs to get a practical approach.

Kim Larsen

I just did this illustration for a newsletter. The article is about famous peoples right, not to be photographed in private, and have their image abused for commercial purpose, without their acceptance. I have drawn danish musician Kim Larsen, famous icon for smokers, ending up as an unwilling advertisement for a fitness center.
